[][src]Struct wgpu::Extensions

#[repr(transparent)]pub struct Extensions { /* fields omitted */ }

Methods

impl Extensions[src]

pub const ANISOTROPIC_FILTERING: Extensions[src]

Allow anisotropic filtering in samplers.

Supported platforms:

  • OpenGL 4.6+ (or 1.2+ with widespread GL_EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic)
  • DX11/12
  • Metal
  • Vulkan

Provided Capabilities:

  • None

This is a native only extension. Support is planned to be added to webgpu, but it is not yet implemented.

https://github.com/gpuweb/gpuweb/issues/696

pub const MAPPABLE_PRIMARY_BUFFERS: Extensions[src]

Webgpu only allows the MAP_READ and MAP_WRITE buffer usage to be matched with COPY_DST and COPY_SRC respectively. This removes this requirement.

This is only beneficial on systems that share memory between CPU and GPU. If enabled on a system that doesn't, this can severely hinder performance. Only use if you understand the consequences.

Supported platforms:

  • All

Provided Capabilities:

  • None

This is a native only extension.

pub const BINDING_INDEXING: Extensions[src]

Allows shaders to index arrays of bindings with dynamically non-uniform values:

eg. texture_array[vertex_data]

In order to use this extension, the corresponding GLSL extension must be enabled like so:

#extension GL_EXT_nonuniform_qualifier : require

HLSL does not need any extension.

Supported platforms:

  • DX12
  • Metal (with MSL 2.0+ on macOS 10.13+)
  • Vulkan 1.2+ (or via VK_EXT_descriptor_indexing)

Provided Capabilities:

  • SAMPLED_TEXTURE_ARRAY_NON_UNIFORM_INDEXING
  • UNSIZED_BINDING_ARRAY

This is a native only extension.

pub const ALL_WEBGPU: Extensions[src]

Extensions which are part of the upstream webgpu standard

pub const ALL_UNSAFE: Extensions[src]

Extensions that require activating the unsafe extension flag

pub const ALL_NATIVE: Extensions[src]

Extensions that are only available when targeting native (not web)

pub const fn empty() -> Extensions[src]

Returns an empty set of flags

pub const fn all() -> Extensions[src]

Returns the set containing all flags.

pub const fn bits(&self) -> u64[src]

Returns the raw value of the flags currently stored.

pub fn from_bits(bits: u64) -> Option<Extensions>[src]

Convert from underlying bit representation, unless that representation contains bits that do not correspond to a flag.

pub const fn from_bits_truncate(bits: u64) -> Extensions[src]

Convert from underlying bit representation, dropping any bits that do not correspond to flags.

pub const unsafe fn from_bits_unchecked(bits: u64) -> Extensions[src]

Convert from underlying bit representation, preserving all bits (even those not corresponding to a defined flag).

pub const fn is_empty(&self) -> bool[src]

Returns true if no flags are currently stored.

pub const fn is_all(&self) -> bool[src]

Returns true if all flags are currently set.

pub const fn intersects(&self, other: Extensions) -> bool[src]

Returns true if there are flags common to both self and other.

pub const fn contains(&self, other: Extensions) -> bool[src]

Returns true all of the flags in other are contained within self.

pub fn insert(&mut self, other: Extensions)[src]

Inserts the specified flags in-place.

pub fn remove(&mut self, other: Extensions)[src]

Removes the specified flags in-place.

pub fn toggle(&mut self, other: Extensions)[src]

Toggles the specified flags in-place.

pub fn set(&mut self, other: Extensions, value: bool)[src]

Inserts or removes the specified flags depending on the passed value.
